Leo "Lester" Mattingly was born on March 7, 1943, in Bonne Terre, Missouri to Leo and Margaret (Brown) Mattingly. Leo enjoyed bird watching and hiking. He loved his old rock n' roll music and watching old western movies, and spending time with his family and friends. Leo passed away on August 9, 2025, at the age of 82. He was preceded in death by his parents Leo and Margaret Mattingly, his son Chris Mattingly, and his brother Chester Henry Mattingly.

Wife: Judith Mattingly
Grandchildren: Jacob Mattingly and his wife Tori Mattingly
Many friends and family also survive.
Visitation will be held Tuesday August 19, 2025 from 12pm until the service at 1pm at Coplin Funeral Home in Park Hills, Missouri with Rev. Michael Barton officiating. Interment will be at St. Francois Memorial Park Cemetery in Bonne Terre, Missouri. Coplin Funeral Home of Park Hills, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
