Body Discovered Near East Karsch Boulevard in Farmington

Farmington, Mo. (KFMO) - Farmington police are investigating after a body was discovered Wednesday morning in a wooded area off East Karsch Boulevard.

Authorities say officers were dispatched to 120 East Karsch Boulevard around 8:08 a.m. after mowing crews reported finding the body of a deceased male near what appeared to be a small homeless camp. Detectives, along with the Farmington Fire Department, St. Francois County Ambulance, and the County Coroner, assisted with the recovery. Police say preliminary observations indicate the body may have been in the area for several days.

The individual has not yet been identified, and the case remains under active investigation.
