St. Francois Co., MO. (KFMO) - A Bonne Terre man was taken into custody early Friday morning following a pursuit that began at a Quick Stop gas station in St. Francois County.
According to the St. Francois County Sheriff’s Department, a deputy responded around 3:09 a.m. on September 26 to a report of a suspicious vehicle at the station. When the deputy arrived, the vehicle fled but briefly stopped after emergency lights were activated. As the deputy collected the driver’s identification, the suspect drove off again, leading deputies on a chase through residential areas. The pursuit ended in a driveway, where authorities say the suspect resisted arrest before being subdued after a brief struggle. A search of the vehicle uncovered suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
The driver, identified as Austin Gall, was booked into the St. Francois County Detention Center on charges of possession of a controlled substance and resisting arrest.
