De Soto Woman Injured in Crash on Highway 21 in Jefferson County

Jefferson Co., Mo. (KFMO) - A De Soto woman was injured Saturday evening when her SUV slid on wet pavement and struck a concrete wall along northbound Highway 21, just south of Highway 141 in Jefferson County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 6:50 p.m. Troopers say a 26-year-old female driver of a 2013 Ford Escape lost control of the vehicle on the rain-slicked highway. The SUV veered off the left side of the road and hit a concrete barrier, then continued off the right side of the highway. The driver, who was wearing a seatbelt, suffered moderate injuries and was transported to Mercy Hospital South by ambulance.

The vehicle sustained moderate damage and was towed from the scene.
