Des Arc, Mo. (KFMO) - Residents in the Des Arc area who were impacted by severe weather in March still have time to apply for disaster assistance, but the clock is ticking.
A Disaster Recovery Center has been set up at Harvest Full Gospel Church in Des Arc, offering in-person support to those affected. According to Cynthia Cowell, Public Information Officer with the U.S. Small Business Administration, both homeowners and renters may qualify for help.
Cowell says assistance is available to cover property damage, temporary housing, and more for those affected by the storm. The center is a joint operation between FEMA and the SBA, aiming to help residents navigate the application process.
The center will remain open only through Thursday, July 3, 2025, closing at 7 p.m. that evening.
For more information, residents can visit the church location before closing time or apply online at disasterassistance.gov.
