Early Morning Crash on Plattin Road Leaves Two Injured

Jefferson County, Mo. (KFMO) - A single-vehicle accident on Plattin Road south of Highway 61 early Saturday morning left two men injured, one seriously, in Jefferson County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 1:15 a.m. when a 2015 Ford F-250 traveling southbound lost control, exited the roadway to the left, and overturned. The vehicle came to rest on its roof.

The driver, a 22-year-old man from DeSoto, sustained minor injuries. A 22-year-old passenger from Bonne Terre suffered serious injuries. Both were transported to Mercy Hospital South by ambulance. Authorities noted that the driver was not using a safety device at the time of the crash.

The vehicle was towed from the scene due to extensive damage.
