Edgar Springs Woman Killed, Man Seriously Injured in Washington County Motorcycle Crash

Washington Co., Mo. (KFMO) - A 57-year-old woman from Edgar Springs was killed and a 62-year-old man was seriously injured in a motorcycle crash Friday afternoon in Washington County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 3:55 p.m. on Pond Creek Road near the 13,600 block. Troopers say a 1997 Honda Goldwing, driven by a 62-year-old man, of Edgar Springs, traveled off the right side of the road, overturned, and ejected both riders.

The 57-year-old woman, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was transported by ambulance to Washington County Memorial Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. The driver suffered serious injuries and was flown by helicopter to Mercy Hospital in St. Louis. Troopers report neither rider was wearing a safety device at the time of the crash.

The motorcycle was totaled and towed from the scene.
