Farmington Teen Arrested on Child Sex Crime Charges Following State Investigation

Farmington, Mo. (KFMO) - The Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control (DDCC) has announced the arrest of 18-year-old Kolt E. Cain of Farmington on multiple child sex crime charges.

According to authorities, the DDCC Special Victims Unit (SVU) began investigating in June 2025 after receiving a CyberTip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, which indicated an online user had uploaded child pornography. Investigators identified Cain as a suspect following a thorough review. On August 15, 2025, SVU investigators executed a search warrant at a residence in St. Francois County, where Cain was interviewed and evidence of child pornography was seized. Cain was then taken into custody and booked at the St. Francois County Jail.

The St. Francois County Prosecuting Attorney has charged Cain with three counts of felony possession of child pornography and one count of felony promoting child pornography. He is being held on a $100,000 bond.
