Farmington Waterpark Renovations Underway

Farmington, Mo. (KFMO) - Renovations are being made at the Farmington waterpark to update and replace some older, out-of-date features.

The park's two waterslides will be replaced with a taller tower. City Administrator Greg Beavers says the new slides are more involved.

In addition, the large play structure, which includes the park's trademark bucket, is also being replaced.

Beavers says the new structure will have many of the characteristics as the old one, but will be more up-to-date and modern. He says the old structure, at 25 years old, is starting to corrode as it has been exposed to weather and chlorine, leaving some parts unable to be repaired.
