Madison Co., Mo. (KFMO) - A 21-year-old man from Frohna was arrested early Sunday morning for driving while intoxicated following a crash that injured his passenger in rural Madison County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the incident happened at 12:02 a.m. on May 11 along County Road 241, about one mile east of Marquand. Authorities say Kristopher C. Seabaugh was driving a 2000 Chevrolet 3500 eastbound when the vehicle ran off the left side of the roadway and struck a tree. A 27-year-old male passenger from Ste. Genevieve sustained moderate injuries in the crash and was taken by private vehicle to Madison Medical Center for treatment. Neither occupant was wearing a seatbelt.
The vehicle was totaled and towed from the scene.
Seabaugh was arrested by the Highway Patrol on charges of driving while intoxicated, failure to wear a seatbelt, and driving without insurance. He was taken to the Madison County Sheriff’s Office and later released.
