Iron County Authorities Searching for Man Who Fled Traffic Stop in Viburnum

Iron Co., Mo. (KFMO) - The Iron County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating a man who fled a traffic stop on foot Friday, July 18.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, a deputy stopped a vehicle on Walnut Street in Viburnum for an equipment violation. After being given consent to search the vehicle, the driver fled the scene on foot. The suspect, identified as Mark McDannold, had reportedly provided false information during the stop and is known to have an active warrant for burglary out of Crawford County. Authorities warn that McDannold should be considered dangerous.
