Jefferson County Homicide Investigation

(Jefferson County, MO) A male juvenile suspect is in custody and a 16 year old male juvenile is dead after being shot in the head shortly after midnight Sunday in Jefferson County. Information on the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department's Facebook page shows deputies responded to the gas station at Highway PP and Highway 30 to reports of a shooting. Upon arrival they were advised by a small group of mostly teenagers that someone had shot into their vehicle, and one round struck the 16 year old male juvenile who was transported to an area hospital where he later died. Investigators worked through different versions of the events that lead to the shooting and eventually ended up in the 3500 block of West Fork Drive in Byrnes Mill. They discovered a shooting incident had occurred there. Crime Scene Units responded with other detectives to recover evidence that a shooting had occurred at the residence. Because they are juveniles the names of the two are not being released. Stay tuned to KFMO B104 News for more information as it's released from the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department.
