Fredericktown, Mo. (KFMO)- The Missouri Department of Transportation will hold a public meeting from 4 to 6 p.m. on Monday, August 4, to discuss proposed improvements to the U.S. Route 67 intersections at Routes A and C in Cherokee Pass.
The meeting will take place at the Cherokee Pass Fire Department, located at 1030 County Road 333 in Fredericktown. The project calls for removing the current median crossovers at the intersections and replacing them with J-turns. These types of intersections are designed to improve safety by eliminating the need for drivers to cross high-speed lanes of traffic.
MoDOT will present two design alternatives for the J-turns during the open house-style meeting. Construction is expected to begin in May 2026, with completion anticipated by early 2027.
