Desloge, Mo. (KFMO) - Drivers in Desloge can expect traffic changes as work begins on the new Route 8 and State Street roundabout. A portion of North State Street was closed Thursday night as part of preparations for the long-anticipated project.
Overnight, Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) crews dismantled the current stoplight system at the intersection where the roundabout will be built. Temporary traffic signals have been installed to manage traffic flow during construction.
MoDOT Area Engineer Corbin Carlton says the roundabout project is expected to be completed by December 15, 2025. The project aims to improve traffic safety and efficiency at one of the city’s busiest intersections.
