Bismarck, Mo. (KFMO) - A fatal crash occurred Wednesday evening on Missouri-32 at Center Street in St. Francois County. The incident happened at approximately 6:56 p.m.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 44-year-old man from Washington, Missouri, was near the railroad tracks when he was struck by a southbound vehicle. The driver, a 44-year-old man from Festus, was driving a 2013 GE ES44AH locomotive and was not injured. A female, who was with the victim at the time of the incident, was also not injured.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident shutdown the roadway for some time as the investigation took place.
