Preconstruction Meeting Held for Route 8 Roundabout

Desloge, Mo. (KFMO) - Work will soon move ahead on the proposed roundabout at the intersection of Route 8 and State Street in Desloge. Representatives from the Missouri Department of Transportation, and Plattin Creek Excavating, LLC met Wednesday afternoon to discuss items such as work schedule and traffic control.

MoDOT Resident Engineer Seth Bollinger says any lane reductions must be done at night.

The completion date for the contract is December 15, 2025. Project Manager Brian Trudt of Plattin Creek Excavating says crews will work from 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with some weekend and night work. Construction begins June 9.
