Richwoods Man Arrested for Failing to Register as a Sex Offender

Washington Co., Mo. (KFMO) - A Richwoods man is facing multiple felony charges after investigators say he failed to comply with Missouri’s sex offender registration laws.

Robert Compion was arrested by Washington County Sheriff’s deputies after it was discovered he was living at a residence not listed on his sex offender registry and had failed to complete his required registration on time. Following his arrest, detectives with the sheriff’s office obtained and executed search warrants, revealing that Compion had additional violations, including the use of unregistered social media accounts and an unlisted email address, both of which are required to be reported under Missouri’s sex offender laws.

As a result of the investigation, Compion has been charged with four counts of failing to register as a sex offender. A no-bond warrant was issued for his arrest.
