Show Me Space Event Features Shuttle Astronaut

Bonne Terre, Mo. (KFMO) - The Show Me Space event this Saturday at the Space Museum and Grissom Center at Bonne Terre has a theme of Science Fiction, yet the program will also feature science fact with a presentation by NASA Space Shuttle Astronaut Dr. Tom Jones.

Jones says he'll speak about his latest book, Space Shuttle Stories, featuring the oral history of the astronauts who flew on the shuttle from 1981 to 2011.

This Saturday's Show Me Space program will also feature a costume contest with a $500 1st place prize, a model building contest with a science fiction theme, and Dan Monroe. Monroe hosts “Movies, Music, & Monsters” on YouTube. He'll discuss sci-fi, music, TV, behind the scenes secrets, and Hollywood props.

Jones and Monroe, as well as other special guests, will take part in meet and greets, autograph sessions, and presentations.
