Washington Co., Mo. (KFMO) - A 63-year-old woman from St. Clair was seriously injured in a motorcycle crash Sunday afternoon in Washington County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened at 1:14 p.m. on Missouri Highway 185 at Lick Skillett. Troopers say the woman was riding a 2011 Harley-Davidson FXDC northbound when she slowed for an object in the road. A northbound 2011 Ford E150, driven by a 66-year-old man from Potosi, struck the rear of her motorcycle. The impact caused serious injuries to the motorcyclist, who was wearing a helmet at the time. She was airlifted by Life Flight to Mercy Hospital in St. Louis. The driver of the van was not injured and drove away from the scene.
The motorcycle was totaled and towed from the scene.
