St. Francois County Deputies Recover Stolen Property in Bonne Terre Theft

St. Francois Co., Mo. (KFMO) - Deputies with the St. Francois County Sheriff’s Department responded to a reported theft at a business in Bonne Terre on Wednesday, September 24, 2025.

The victim reported that approximately $20,000 in property had been stolen. On Friday, September 26, a detective observed a suspect vehicle along Highway 67 within Farmington city limits. Investigators found a welder inside the vehicle matching the description of one of the stolen items. After contacting the vehicle’s owner, detectives confirmed the truck was connected to the theft and positively identified the welder as stolen property. A 26-year-old male was taken into custody for questioning.

The recovered items have been returned to the business owner, and the investigation remains ongoing.
