Ste. Genevieve Co., Mo. (KFMO) - The Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control (DDCC) has arrested a Ste. Genevieve County man for child sex crimes following an investigation by the DDCC Special Victims Unit (SVU).
In August 2025, while conducting an online child pornography investigation, SVU investigators obtained a CyberTip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children indicating an online user had uploaded child pornography. After conducting a thorough investigation, 21-year-old Skyler Brown was identified as the suspect. On August 27, 2025, investigators executed a search warrant at a residence, where investigators located and interviewed Brown, and collected evidence of child pornography.
As a result, Brown was arrested and transported to the Ste. Genevieve County Jail. On August 28, 2025, the Ste. Genevieve County Prosecuting Attorney formally charged Brown with five counts of felony Possession of Child Pornography and one count of felony Promoting Child Pornography. He is being held at the Ste. Genevieve County Jail without bond.
