Three-Vehicle Crash on MO-8 in St. Francois County Sends Two to Hospital

Park Hills, Mo. (KFMO) - A three-vehicle crash on Missouri Route 8 at Route P Friday evening sent two people to the hospital and left all vehicles totaled.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened just after 5:15 p.m. on July 4. Troopers say a 2007 Hyundai Tucson, driven by a 49-year-old woman from St. Louis, failed to yield at a stop sign and struck a 2005 GMC Yukon on the right side. The impact caused the Yukon to overturn and hit the front of a third vehicle, a 2008 Volkswagen Jetta.

The Yukon’s driver, a 36-year-old woman from Mineral Point, suffered moderate injuries and was taken to Mercy Hospital South by ambulance. The Tucson driver was treated for minor injuries at Parkland Health Center in Farmington. The Jetta's 18-year-old male driver from Ste. Genevieve was not reported injured.

All vehicles were towed from the scene.
