Tips for Your Health as Mental Health Month Winds Down

Park Hills, Mo. (KFMO) - The Month of May is Mental Health Awareness Month and as we move into June Mental Health professionals say we should continue to explore what good mental health is throughout the rest of the year.

A member of the Helping Hands Board of Directors, Angie Hawn, says they work with the Southeast Missouri Mental Health Center to assist those in need and she adds an important part of our own health is to realize we should take care of ourselves as well as others.

According to Hawn, recognizing life consistently challenges us, and taking time each day to refocus and do basic things to be healthy, can keep our spirits high and strengthen our minds.
