Vegas Night Raises Thousands for Students at MAC President’s Ball

Park Hills, Mo. (KFMO) - Vegas came to Mineral Area College as more than 300 community members went all in for MAC last Saturday evening to support the annual Enhancement Grant campaign during the President’s Ball.

Kevin Thurman, Executive Director of Development at MAC, says the turnout was great.

Thurman says around $23,000 was raised for student scholarships during the event. The total raised for the Enhancement Grant itself has not yet been released. Donations to the campaign are matched up to $3-to-$1 by the state, allowing the college to invest in new training equipment and materials to enhance student learning experiences.

Other fundraisers will be held between now and December to add to the total for the grant.
