Washington County Sheriff’s Office Handles Over 1,600 Calls in August

Washington Co., Mo. (KFMO)  - The Washington County Sheriff’s Office reports deputies and staff responded to 1,610 calls for service in August 2025.

The calls included emergency responses, criminal investigations, traffic enforcement, jail operations, and community assistance across the county’s 762 square miles. Sheriff Dwayne Reed praised the dedication of his team, saying every call represents “a member of our community in need.” He noted that deputies, jail staff, and civilian employees continue to serve with integrity and professionalism.

The Sheriff’s Office also announced that its new mobile app will launch in the coming weeks, giving residents quick access to alerts, updates, and resources.
